The Fire Faeries are the flames
that rise up and lick the sky as
the portal opens to the other realm.
They are not the keepers of the
flame, for they are the flame.
They make their images known for brief
moments in time. They can been seen in
the dancing in the heart of the inferno.
Or perhaps it is the fire sprite that dances
atop the candle wick as an illumination
to our realm.
